The Weekly Post #3 // My Everyday Make-up Drawer

Buttom Drawer - Everyday Make-up

If you have been following my blog then you will know I started a new series called "The Weekly Post" and well I'll be honest to say I have found it hard to keep up since most Saturdays I have a make-up job meaning I spend most of the day either doing make-up or preparing my kit by packing/ unpacking and cleaning. So it really does take most of the day. I have now decided to begin to prepare the post before the day it is meant to be posted so hopefully I can get into a good routine of actually make them weekly!

Any way today I am going to share with what's in my everyday make-up drawer. I have most of my make-up storage into about ten clear acrylic muji boxes and going through them on an almost daily basis would mean I take even longer to get ready - which trust me is a long time! So I have dedicated an entire box to products I use on a daily basis or products that I have forgot about and what to start using. I thought this would be interesting to show since it shows products that I like to use a lot. I do however change the make-up that is in it on a fortnightly basis. I don't keep any eye-shadow in this as I normally use either my Mac or Urban Decay Palettes.

Benefit - Porefessional Primer

Rimmel - Match Perfection Foundation

Collection - Lasting Perfection Concealer

Rimmel - Stay Matte Powder

Bourjois - Chocolate Bronzer

Benefit - Hoola Bronzer

Elf - Golden Bronzer

Benefit - High Beam

MAC - Well Dressed Blush

MAC - LadyBlush Creme Blush

Bourjois - Cream Blush - 03

MAC - Quad with two broken eye-shadows!

Inika - Eyeliner - 06 Coco

Soap & Glory - Supercat Liquid Liner - Black

Maybelline - Mega Plush Mascara

Benefit - Bad Gal Lash Mascara

Vaseline - Rosy Lips

Well that is a list of products that I like and that I use most days. I like to use the Elf - Golden Bronzer as a subtle highlight as it is quite shimmery and it is mosaic which four different colours. I also have quite a selection of blushes because I like to change my blush. Everything is however pretty much self explanatory - since I didn't really mention any eye-shadow I might do a post in a few weeks about my favourite eye-shadows. I hope you enjoyed! If you have any requests for next weeks weekly post then please leave them in the comments! Thanks for reading!

My Wishlist #1 // Holiday Style

Am I the only on with a metal wishlist?! We all want a walk-in wardrobe with our dream clothes, binge on the latest beauty products and accesorize our self's to the max but not all of our bank balances like for us to do that! I have always found it difficult to remember all of my sought after items so when I heard of an amazing website called Wantworthy - where you can add all your items into your very own page and for organisation freaks like myself you can even create separate lists! Genius - or am I just easily impressed?! You can even add a button to your top bar of your internet and you can add items from any online store - again genius! So I thought I would share a part of my Holiday Style wishlist as I am planning on going on holiday next April and since there won't be much summer items in shops I thought I would get it before and hopefully I will be able to get some of this in the sales! I haven't been abroad in about six plus years and totally miss it as I used to love travelling and exploring new places but everything got so expensive and it just wasn't affordable. The past week I have been spending hours after hours re-searching hotels and holiday clothes - everything. I am going to Portugal which I have been to many times as my grandparents used to live there before my grandad fell ill. In Portugal I have had a lot of my best memories and it defiantly holds a special place in my heart.

1, Accessorize - This is a navy and white striped holdall with tan trimmings. It says it's a holdall but I believe it is the size of a large handbag! I don't really have any bags like this that I would be happy to use. I am mainly getting it to be my carry-on bag as I would use my Zara Office City Bag but I just carry to much!

2, Accessorize - I love this dress, it looks really nice and light - and since I don't do heat very well, it should hopefully help keep me cool. It is also a nice coral colour and has lots of detail.

3, Next - I have had my eye on these gladiators ever since they came out - I love them because they aren't like anything I've ever seen. The have a almost glittery looking middle with studs around the ankle strap - worst distribution ever! Just look at the picture and you will see what I mean!

4, Ted Baker - I have had my eye the Ted Baker make-up bags with the big bow but I just wasn't sure as I thought it would be to wide for my bag but when I seen this well it appears to be quite compact but I think I'll be able pack a lot into this - the design is also very cute and unique.

5, Topshop - I have seen this in store a couple of times and really liked it but I mean really when do we get nice enough whether to give this top justice!? It also has a very steep price tag and is very heavy. But I am going to go in-store and try it on!

6 & 9 - I am pairing these together as they will be worn together. I don't own any swimwear that I actually like because I never use it - I wish I did because swimming is one of my favourite things to do, I just don't like any of the pools around me! But I will need a couple of bikinis for going abroad and I have already started working on my bikini body - please cross your fingers that I can achieve it! I love this pattern and it has wiring which is good because the basic triangle bikinis don't work for me if you get what I mean!

7, Asos - This skirt is actually on sale so I am going to purchase it. I have been on a look out for printed skirts and this on caught my eye because its different but it a subtle way. I am looking forward to trying it!

8, Topshop - I originally seen this when I was looking at the top above (5) as it was paired together on a model and it looked really nice together. I don't normally wear skirts like this but it will be a nice change.

I hope you enjoyed! If you would like to see more wishlist posts I'll be happy to do them! I will like my personal wantworthy list here, so you can see all my lists and I will be adding much more to them! Thanks for Reading!

Collective Beauty Haul // Real Techniques, Maybelline, Bioderma & More...

Please don’t judge me – I do have another collective haul and I do feel extremely guilty that I have done some beauty shopping! I have actually decided I am going to stop spending and stop getting beauty products. Products are overflowing from there drawers and baskets and that’s always a sign where you should just stand back and save you money.  It would be fair to say I have been on a little bit of a spree of getting beauty products. I did have to get some stuff for my professional make-up kit which makes me feel a bit better but most of it is really just for me! Opps…
Don’t you just love (and hate) when Boots or Superdrug have amazing offers on that you just can’t say no to like 3 for 2 – I mean I see a 3 for 2 sign and my knees go weak and I get all excited! Don’t you just love a good old saving! Well Superdrug had 3 for 2 and so I had to go and get a few essentials obviously! In Superdrug I re-purchased my favourite drug store foundation which is the Rimmel – Lasting Match Perfection Foundation, this is just gorgeous on the skin and it lasts really well thought out the day.  I also got two nail polishes from Barry M, now I was looking forward to trying these but they don’t last well on the nails especially the gelly nail polish! I am wondering if it is a manufacture problem because Boots weren’t selling Barry M nail polishes when I bought this because “they don’t meet our high standards!” But of course I paid no attention to this and when you can’t have something you want it more so I had to get my hands on them! I got Barry M – Hi-Shine Nail Paint in Dragon Fruit (which lasted just over a day! I was not very happy!) I also got Barry M – Textured Nail Effects in Kingsland Road.

Has anyone else noticed that boots has started stocking The Vintage Cosmetic Company!? I have heard of them before but never really tried anything, I spotted there false eyelashes and they looked amazing and since of course boots had 3 for 2 on eyelashes I had to get three pairs (saving £6!!) I got Connie, Gracie and Nancy and then I got another pair of Gracie. I am going to go and get more for my pro kit because they go on nice and look amazing and they are only £6! I also got two tubes of Duo Eyelash Adhesive I won’t bore you with the story on why I got two! I’ve also been loving the TRESemme – Instant Refresh Dry Shampoo, it’s amazing and doesn’t make your hair feel chalky. I got two cans because it was buy one get one free (yes another offer!) I also gladly fell into the hype of Bioderma – Sensibio Cleansing Water, I love this stuff – it leaves your skin feeling amazing. If you read my first The Weekly Post #1 // Skin Problems – then you will know I was having problems with my skin and I finally found a spot treatment that works for me! That is the Clean and Clear – Advantage Spot Treatment Gel.
And of course I bought more make-up… I bought another Maybelline – Mega Plush Mascara because it’s so amazing and I wanted one for my kit! I also wanted a concealer palette for my kit so I am giving Costal Scents – Camouflage Palette which so far I really like! I have been wanting to try the Rimmel – Wake Me Up foundation since I love my other foundation so much so I just went ahead and got it. It was also 3 for 2 on Rimmel nail polishes, so I got the new Salon Pro polishes in the colours Peppermint, Ultra Violet and Cocktail Passion. I also went on a splurge with Real Technique Brushes! I have been waiting for their new Limited Edition Duo-Fibre brushes to come out and when I finally tracked them down I got two sets! I also got a stippling brush and an expert face brush. I also got a pair of silver studs and some hair ties from accessorize.
Well I hope you enjoyed this haul and it WILL be the last for a while! If you have any beauty products that you recently bought then let me know in the comments! Thanks for Reading!

Demi Lovato Inspired Make-up from Britain's Got Talent

If you’ve been addicted to Britain’s Got Talent like I have (luminites all the way!) then you might have seen Demi Lovato preform on Thursdays result show where she performed her new single Heart Attack which I’m obsessed with! Demi as always looked stunning and she has recently dyed her hair from black to a gorgeous blonde colour, I love how Demi suits all hair colours literally she’s had red, blonde, brown, black, pink and blue! When the official music video came out I re-created both looks from the video but I never ended up posting it because I didn’t like the way it came out – I am a perfectionist! So I thought I would re-create this look from her performance since it looked so nice and I’ve never done a make-up look like this on my blog before!

Collection – Lasting Perfection Concealer on any blemishes and under my eyes.

- I am then using Rimmel – Wake Me Up Foundation in 100 Ivory, this is a bit too dark for me even though it is the lightest shade so I am just blending it in well with my Real Techniques – Expert Face Brush. It works out quite well that the foundation is a bit too dark because it gives me a bit of a tan which Demi appears to have.
- I am now moving onto my eyes just in case there is fall down from the eye shadow and doesn’t completely ruin my base. For a base for my eye shadow I am using L’Oreal – Colour Infallible Eye shadow in 002 Hourglass Beige, I am just using my finger to pat this all over my eye lid.

- Using my Urban Decay – Naked 2 Palette, I am going to put Half Baked all over my lid, Tease in my crease and the Mac – Sketch Eye shadow in my outer lid. I am also using Busted in my outer “v” to darken it up (I am using this lightly). And make sure to blend well!
- For eye liner I am using Soap & Glory – Supercat Liquid Liner along my upper lash line and then using Blackout over the top to set it.

- In my waterline I am using Rimmel – Scandaleyes Kohl Kajal in 005 Nude as in the photo and while I was watching her she defiantly looked like she had nude eyeliner in her waterline. Under that I am using Mac – Sketch e/s.
- I am now going to curl my eyelashes and then apply a few coats of Maybelline – Mega Plush Mascara and then I am applying false eyelashes. The eyelashes I am using are The Vintage Cosmetic Company – Gracie Lashes, with Duo Lash Adhesive – these lashes are gorgeous on and I have been loving them recently! (I even have them in my pro kit!)

- Demi has really defined brows so I am going to make mine my darker and give them more of shape and definition; I am using Mua – Eye shadow in 19 with a Mac - #266.
- Now that I have finished my eyes I am going to go back to finishing off my face make-up, I am going to go back to my foundation and just make sure it is even. Then I am going to set it with Rimmel – Stay Matte Pressed Powder with my new favourite powder brush – Real Techniques – Duo Fibre Face Brush.

- Demi has very rosy cheeks and a defined contour and glowy cheekbones. I am using Benefit – Hoola Bronzer and make sure you blend it out well. For my cheeks I used Rimmel – Lasting Finish Soft Colour Blush in 020 Pink Rose, this wasn’t exactly like the blush Demi had on so I put a bit of Mac – Well Dressed over the top. For my cheekbones I am using Jemma Kidd Pro – Dewy All Over Radiance Crème in Iced Gold, I am taking this on my cheekbones and running it up and along my brow bone.
- I am now moving onto my lips, I have exfoliated my lips before doing this since I am going to be using a bold lip colour. To define my lips and get it ready for the colour I am using Revlon – Colour Stay Lip Liner in Red, I am doing this gently and blending it out. Demi’s lips weren’t a true red it was an orange/ coral red so I am going to mix lipsticks to get the perfect colour. I am using Maybelline – Colour Sensational Lipstick in 422 Coral Tonic all over my lips. I am then put Revlon – Colour Burst Lipstick in 090 True Red in the centre of my lips and using a Real Techniques – Detailer Brush to blend it all over my lips this will also give my lips a shine.

- Lastly I am going to define my lips and brows by going around with a concealer and when doing this your better to do it with creamy pot concealers so I am using my Costal Scents – Camouflage Palette (10 Concealer Palette) and just make sure to blend it well.
And that’s it! I hope you enjoyed this and if you have any requests for other make-up looks then leave them in the comments or tweet me @BowsBeautyB – Thanks for Reading!

The Weekly Post #2 // Cream Blush

This weeks weekly post is going to be on cream blusher, I have only recently gotten into wearing cream blush I was always a power blush gal and never really ventured into the land of cream - but I have and it's only really been the past month that I have gotten into them. I have dry skin so putting lots of powder products isn't always great so using creams especially on dry skin is meant to be really good, I personally haven't noticed this as I don't get dry patches on my cheeks but if I did I could see how that works. The only problem I have with cream blushes is that they don't have the same lasting power as powders and I find myself re- apply as the days go on.

I haven't tried many cream blushers so I am open to any suggestions you may have go me to try! I have however tried some that I do like and some that I'm not so sure of and that's what I am going to tell you about now. First lets talk about the cream blushers that everyone has been talking about - Bourjois Cream Blush (01 & 03) I have been waiting for these to be released ever since I first set eyes on them. There is a bit well a lot of hype around them and I can see why! There is four shades to choose from and I have to say they really do have something for everybody whether you like you peachy blush, rosey pink blush or you deeper brownish pink - you'll find a colour you like! They are creamy products and they give a nice finish o your cheeks with a cream to powder finish. And we'll let's just say for the packaging that I would display this on my vanity table. The only problem I have with this is that you do have to re-apply this as it doesn't have the best staying power and it does start to fade and disappear as the day goes on. My favourite cream blusher is by Mac - Creme Blend blush, I do only have one colour of the cream blushes but I defiantly have my eye on some more! I have LadyBlush with is a gorgeous nude brown blush (that makes it sound horrible! But it's really not!) It's great if you have quite full on make up and just want to give some definition on to your cheeks or if you have really natural makeup and don't want anything that's to obvious - basically it goes with most looks.

Next that's talk about Maybelline - Dream Touch Blush in 02 Peach, now this was the first cream blush I ever tried! And it would be fair to say that I really did love this and for quite a while it was they only blush I used, it is very creamy probably most creamiest (is that even a word?!?) blush I have ever tried. It is very pigmented so be sure you blend it in very well, I had forgotten that I even had this blush until I was preparing for this post so I am defiantly going to make sure I use this more! I am going to be totally honest and say the last blush I'm going to talk to you about - I have never tried! I have had it in my blush drawer for about two months but I have yet to use it, so I can't really tell you may feelings on it all I can really say is how it swatches. It is the Dainty Doll - Cream Blush in 003 Billion Dollar Babies, now I think I haven't used this because the colour isn't really me - now your probably thinking why did you buy it then and well I bought it online for an extremely discounted price. The colour is very dark for what I'm used to its kind of a mauve brown?! But I have to say now that I've swatched it it feels very creamy and blends into a really subtle colour. So I am some point in the up coming week going to try this and I'll might put an update on this post to let you know how I get on!

Well that's that! I hope this has helped you if you were wanting to know more about cream blush and maybe you seen some products you like the look of! If you have a favourite cream blush please leave me suggestions as I really want to try some more! Thanks for reading!
