♥ Review - NYC High Definition Volume Mascara ♥

Today's review will be on a mascara I picked up a few months ago, I have used it on and off for a few months now. I don't often go for high end mascaras as when I comes down to it there all the same and pretty much do the same job with some differences, normally I prefer to spend that money on a high end lip product, eyeshadow ect. Anyway just keep reading...

1, Product

NYC - High Definition volume mascara. "Look no further than new NYC New York Colour High Definition Volume Mascara for that cheap but cheerful after-work pick-me-up. It’s designed to add up to 10 times more volume, so you can be big on impact after a hard day’s work. Go show them who’s boss!" description from the NYC website. (Link here)

2, How it works?

How it works?! Is a bit difficult to describe - simply apply it like a normal mascara! A tip, it always helps before applying mascara to curl your eyelashes! It helps open your eyes and gives more length!

3, Packing

The packaging reminds me of Covergirls lash blast, I love how bright and fun the packaging is! But it is just like any other mascara tube to be quite honest! The mascara wand it self has plastic bristles which isn't normally what I prefer so I was sceptical before I even tried it! It has longer bristles on one side and shorter bristles on the other, which is good if your using it for your bottom lashes.

4, Price

You can get this at superdrug for £3.99.

5, Overall opinion

Overall I am happy with this mascara, it's not the bast and not the worst that I have tired! It's somewhere in the middle. It's a bit hard to describe but it is good if you put to many coats on then it can clump the lashes quite easily and the doesn't look as great! But either way it gives decent length and a bit of volume!

I hope you enjoyed and hopefully this helped you! If you have any mascara recommendations an you think I should try one then comment below, if you have tried this mascara then let me know your thoughts!

❄C2C - Santa Claus is Coming to Town! - Gift Idea's❄

Welcome to the first of five posts, counting down to Christmas day! As of today it is 28 sleeps till Christmas! I'm not going to ramble on I am just going to get straight into all the presents! It is going to be a picture post and I am not going to have to much writing as I want it to be simple and easy to follow!

Gifts for Grandad's -

V-Neck Cardigan from Marks and Spencer's

Now gifts for granddads it can be based on mainly their hobbies for example fishing or football. Or if they enjoy reading you could get them a kindle if he is also into technology but if he prefers the old style. You can always get him a good old knitted cardigan.

Gifts for Dad's -
Ultimate Driving Experience

The picture above is of a experience day there are lots of different kinds of experience days from a spa day to vine yards or even sky diving. These would make a great gift but they are a bit pricey! If you don't have much of a budget then you can always stick to the shaving gift sets, a house coat or aftershave are always good buys.

Gifts for Brother's -

Adidas Men's Predator LZ TRX FG Boots

I picked these football boots purely for the colour! These are men's football boots! If they are into any sport it would be good to get them equipment they may need or even get them tickets to see their favourite team! If your brother doesn't like sport then video games or even clothing. Some guys hate shopping so Christmas is a great excuse to get them looking good!

Gifts for Gran's -

Top from Marks & Spencer's, Earrings from Ortak.

This is what I have got my gran I picked the earrings as every women loves jewellery and as for the top - well you can't really go to wrong with clothing, as long as you get the correct size!

Gifts for Mum's -

Armani Code Perfume Set, Cosmetic Case from Marks and Spencer's.

Mums always say I don't want anything! (does your mum do this?) Any mums always love perfume and getting new make-up goodies but if your a bit stuck stick to gift voucher for her favourite store! It means she can hit the sales!

Gifts for Sister's -

Ultimate Bean Collection, Benefit - Upgrade to Gorgeous.

Every sister is different wheather it's age, hobbies ect. I based this on a sister that was in her teens/ twenties. Personally my sister loves Mr bean so when I seen this online I knew I had to get it for her! Box sets if their favourite tv shows are an easy option or even beauty gift sets!

Gifts for Kids -
Peppa Pig Jigsaw Set, Hello Kitty Teddy from H&M, Toy Story 3.

Again it depends on the age of the child and the gender as most little boys wont appreciate a pink tutu! Often what is helpfulness asking their parents what they have put on their list for Santa and you can go from there really!

Gifts for Friend's -

17 Wow Make-up Collection, Soap & Glory Small Wonders from Boots, Mua goodies from superdrug.

I have based this friends category on being for friends that are girls, but if you need to get a friend that's a boy a present it would properly be best picking a gift card unless you know what they really want! For my friends this year I have gotten them the Soap & Glory Small Wonders box and make-up goodies then a tubes of sweets - if you then wrap it really nicely with a bow! It will make a cute we present!

I have done this to be mainly budget friendly as money is tight! I have also done it slightly based on my family and what I would get them - as saying this I don't have a brother or a grandad to buy for so I was doing it based on what I personally think they would like! I hope you enjoyed this post and hopefully it was helpful and you can now go and get all the presents you need to get for your friends and family!

♥ Winterlicious TAG!!! ♥

This is a TAG that was created my the wonderfully and beautiful Bethany aka Macbarbie07, (is wonderfully even a word?) I seen Bethany's tag on youtube and really enjoyed it! And her puppy Winnie is so cute! I have two Labrador's and I thought they were cute but Winnie is the cutest! Also keep reading for an annoument at the end of this post! Anyway I will get straight onto the questions...

1) Favorite Winter Nail Polish?

China Glaze - Red Satin, Pizzazz, Merry Berry.

2) Favorite Winter lip product?

MAC - TenderTone LipBalm in Hush Hush, 17 - Supreme Shine Lipstick in Barly Blush, Elf - Mineral Moisturising Lip Tint in Pink.

3) Most worn Winter clothing piece?

Primark - Christmas Elmo T-Shirt

Primark - Christmas Cookie Monster T-Shirt

These are my favourite clothing items for Winter/Christmas but my most worn clothing piece would properly be a really warm coats!

4) Most worn Winter accessory?

Clarks - Mortimer Liz in Gray Combi Leather

I love these boots they are stylish, comfy and practical all in one. The sole is great for icy weather and they are partly faux fur lined so they are also warm.

George - Cosy Scarf, Primark - Fluffy Socks.

Both are necessities - I wear fluffy socks all the time!

5) Favorite winter scent/candle?

Yankee Candle - Christmas Cookie

I don't own this yet - infact I don't own any candles as my dad is allergic to strong fragrances, but I am going to get this candle as it smells amazing! Even if I can't light it!

6) Favorite Winter beverage?

I don't often try different food/drink, I have my favourites and I tend to stick to them. My favourite hot drinks would defiantly be a good cup of tea or a hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows!

7) All time favorite Christmas/Holiday movie?

I love love love Christmas movies, there some of my favourite films! Some of my favourites include Elf, Miracle on 34th Street, The Santa Clause 1, 2 & 3 and The Grinch. All are amazing and defiantly must-sees!

8) Favorite Christmas/Holiday song?

Christmas songs... I have to say this is a bit of a tricky one! I like all of the typical Christmas songs. But songs that have been out recently is difficult - I haven't heard any new Christmas songs this year, but I still love Justin Bieber's Mistletoe. In Macbarbie07 video she mentioned that Taylor Swift had a Christmas album from a few years ago, I tried to find it on itunes but I couldn't!

9) Favorite Holiday food/treat?

My family normally just has a normal roast dinner with roast beef as some of my family don't like turkey. I don't mind this as my favourite meal is roast potatoes, yorkshire puddings and gravy ...mmm! We also normally make banoffee pie which is a special treat as we don't often have it! We also have a family tradition that we have a fried breakfast every Christmas morning.

10) What is your favorite Christmas Decoration this year?

Glass Snowman on Candy Cane Ski's! - From Unknown

Glitter Owl - From Asda

Glitter Noel & Joy Sign - From Asda

11) What's at the top of your Christmas list?

I think I am wanting a new camera for my Christmas, as my current one takes good enough pictures but they are as high quality as I would like! I was thinking about getting the new Samsung Galaxy Camera - If you have it please comment below and tell me what you think!

12) What are your plans for the holidays this year?

This year we are having a very quiet Christmas, my sister is getting in to the late stages of her pregnancy and it will be her and her husbands last Christmas just them without any kids - so she is having Christmas with her and her husband but she will come across throughout the day as she only lives around the corner! And my dad is getting an operation soon so he won't be right for Christmas so a quite Christmas is best!

I have to say I do love winter! As in Winter I have my birthday (my 18th this year!) and Christmas within days of each other! I also love the snow (at first) when it first lies on the ground but don't like when it turns very icy and it makes it impossible to get around! If you have a blog or youtube channel then you should also do this tag! We should all spread the Wintery/Christmas Spirit!

If your wondering what the annocment is that I mentioned at the begging of this post then I will go ahead and tell you! I am going to be doing a Christmas series! It is going to be called ... -Drum Roll-... C2C - Santa Claus is Coming to Town! The C2C stands for Counting to Christmas. It is going to start tomorrow (Tues 27th) as there will be exactly 4 weeks till Christmas! I will be posting a Christmas post every Tuesday from gift ideas, make-up and if it works out maybe even baking! My Christmas posts will not be apart of my new blogging schedule which is Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. These are looking like the best days for me to post and lately it has been quite difficult to post as I have been busy with work, college (only 2 months to go!) and family - but since I have cut down my hours at work I should be able to post as often has I hope to which is three good quality posts. Any ways I am going to stop rambling on!

♥ My Hair Care Routine #1 ♥

I recently watched Lisa Eldridge video on her favourite hair products and styling tools and I found it really interesting, in case you haven't seen it I will like it here. In the feature I will do my favourite styling tools but for now I am going to show you my hair care routine which is really going to show what my favourite products are to use on a daily routine.

To wash my hair I use TRESemme - 24hr Body Shampoo and conditioner, I love these products and I do believe that it does give my hair some "body" as when I don't use these products my hair looks a bit flatter. If you don't want a shampoo or conditioner that gives body then I also like Bed Head - Shampoo and Conditioner - Re-Energiser, It is in a green bottle and smells amazing. I also have eczema and I get it quite bad on my scalp so I use a special shampoo to help this it's called Ketoconazole, the colour of this shampoo is amazing - it's hot pink!

On days were I have no time to wash my hair or there is no need to wash my hair, I will just freshen it up with Batiste - Dry Shampoo in Dark & Deep Brown. I have tried alot of dry shampoo and I always found that even if I used the smallest amount it would leave my hair dis-coloured and with the white powder. I love this as it doesn't leave any dis-colouration and leaves my hair looking fresh.

My hair tends to get more tangled the longer it gets - surprising?! I have found an affordable way to brush my hair without pulling half of it out. I spray L'Oreal Kids - Sweet Pear Tangle Tamer all over my hair and then I brush my hair with Demark - Tangle Tamer Hair Brush. Now it is quite funny that I use L'Oreal Kids - Sweet Pear De-Tangler because my mum used to use it on me when I was a little kids, so I get a flash of my child hood everyday that I use it!

After I was my hair I like to apply either a voluming mousse or spray, recently I have been trying TRESemme - 24hr Body Amplifying Mousse and so far I have liked it - it has to be said it's not amazing but I think it does the job!

I love to use hairspray on a daily basis, whether it's to hold styles or just to give extra volume. My favourite hairspray would defiantly have to be Bed Head - Hard Head Hairspray, I love this stuff because it works so well! I have also been trying the TRESemme - 24hr Body Finishing Spray, so far I have liked the results but I am still testing it out!

I hope you enjoyed my first hair care routine and when it changes I shall so an updated one for you all! Do you use any of these products? Or do you have any recommendations? If so, comment below!

♥ My Monthly Beauty Haul ♥

Hello! If you read my blog often then you might be aware that I haven't done a "haul" for a while, their are a few reasons main reason being that I need to save money as I am dropping my hours at work due to personal reasons and it is also coming up to Christmas and my eight-tenth birthday! Anyway I always have something which I call my "monthly beauty shop" and I thought I would show what I need to get every month, their was a couple of items that I didn't need to get this month so I will list them at the bottom. Normally I need to get more than one of the same item, these items I will mark with a star. So will we just get started?!....

I also didn't need to get any shower products e.g shower gel ect.

I'm not to sure if I have missed anything out but thats all I can think of just now! I also have a question! Why is a haul called "hauls" I don't really understand the meaning of it! Does it mean hauling it around all the shops? Any way I am also wondering if anyone else just gets all they need at one time or do you get it as you need it? Please note - This doesn't catain any make-up I need to get on a monthly basics, if you want to see a post on that, then comment below telling me so! Hope you enjoyed!

♥ Magazine Freebies - Marie Claire, Jemma Kidd Goodies ♥

If you can guess from the title I have done it again, I have spent more money on lots of the same magazine to get all of the freebies! I don't know how to justify it, well that's a lie I can always come up with some excuses! But I did say to myself that I wasn't going to do it this month, but after seeing these Jemma Kidd goodies - I just couldn't resist!

This month's issue of Marie Claire Magazine (sold in Nov but it has Dec date on it) as all fashion magazine do). Any way this month's issue has Nicole Scherzinger on the cover, her make-up, hair, outfit well everything is well put together and she looks gorgeous. I have to say I am quite tempted to try and re-create this look.

As always I can't just get one of the freebies, I have to get them all. Normally you just get sample sizes but I was pleasantly surprised that the mascara is full size! But the primer is only a sample size.
The mascara is Jemma Kidd - i-define Volumising Mascara and the primer is called Jemma Kidd - Instant Lift - Skin Perfection Primer.

I am really looking forward to trying out these products. Have you seen any good freebies this month? If so, comment below - I could always do with more make-up ect (Not!).

Tv-

Me and my mum always have the sky planner full of crime, action and reality tv. We have found some new channels recently and there has been a lot of new tv on recently that I have really loved! I will mark programs with a * if they have only aired one episode.

- The Paradise

- Lost Resort*

- Chicago Fire*

- Rookie Blue

- Arrow

- Criminal Minds: Suspect Behaviour

- Made in Chelsea

- White Collar

I was able to watch alot of tv when I sprained my ankle at work, and had to go to a&e for a few hours!

If you would like me to do a separate post on favourite tv then I would be happy to do something different if you'd like to see it!

Films -

My Week with Marlyn

Shark Tale

Music -

Robbie Williams - Candy

Maroon Five - One More Night

Girls Aloud - Something New

Girls Aloud all their songs - I remember all the lyrics!

Other -

I got GIRLS ALOUD TICKETS! I can't wait until March! I bought the album from their official website which gave me a pre sale code and after an entire days worth of not being able to get them even with a pre sale number and trying when they first opened! I eventually got them and I really can't wait!

I haven't got much else to say, it's hard to do anything when you don't have much money especially coming up to christmas. That also shows why I have been doing any "hauls" or as I call them Shop and Show as I don't understand the word haul! If you do then please explain it to me in the comments!

I also have to say sorry for the lack of post recently, I have been having some troubles so not had much time or energy to write anything and I don't want to write anything that I'm not passionate about!

♥ My Guest Post on PrettyLittleFashionista - Taylor Swift Tutorial ♥

Recently I did a guest post on PrettyLittleFashionista blog, Kirsty is a good friend of mine online and she is a good blogger. I have done guest posts for her before, the first post I did for Kirsty was a hair and make-up tutorial on Ashley Benson, if you haven't seen it yet then I will link it here. This time I did a Taylor Swift inspired post on her make-up from the iHeart Music Festival. I am going to add a section of the post here (how I did the lips and the ending) - you could call it a teaser?!......

Lips

Using a red lip liner I am going to line around my lips and then fill them in using Revlon – Lip Liner – Red, this will help keep the red lipstick last all day and it will also stop it from bleeding.

Then Using a Real Techniques – Brush I will be apply Revlon – Colourburst in 090 True Red. This is the first time I have put a true red colour on my lips! I think I like it but it is quite a change! Let me know what you thick. To give it a perfect shade I put a few dots of concealer around my mouth and blended it in with a foundation brush and my fingers.

I was recently reading Fleur De Force's blog and she was lucky enough to meet Taylor Swift herself! Fleur asked Taylor her favourite make-up products and since Taylor is one of the faces of covergirl (in America) she said the following three items:

- Covergirl - Lash Blast Mascara (Black)

- Covergirl - Line Blast (Black)

-Covergirl - Lipstick in Hot

I hope you like this little teaser and you should go right over to Kirsty's blog right now! I have lots of posts lined up but I have to apologize for being a bit mia, I have been really busy/stressed and am going to make time to blog!
